The subject of data protection is personal data. According to Art. 4 No. 1 DSGVO / GDPR, this is all information relating to an identified or identifiable person. This includes, for example, information such as name, e-mail address or telephone number, but also usage data such as the IP address.
In the following, we clarify the scope of data collection, storage and use (hereinafter referred to as “data processing”, used within the meaning of Art. 4 No. 2 DSGVO / GDPR) and the purpose of the respective data processing within the framework of our web shop.
In principle, it is possible to view the web shop without providing personal data. An exception to this is the IP address, which we require at short notice (see also the following section).
Web servers and terminal devices actually need the IP address as an address. Only in this way does the web server know to which device it can transmit the page you have called up. Consequently, the web server must process your IP address at the moment of the data request.
The legal basis for this data processing is regularly Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b DSGVO / GDPR, as we need your IP address in order to be able to send you the website and the information it contains.
The IP address is saved for 24 hours. This gives us the opportunity to analyse attacks on the shop or the server and take appropriate measures. In this case, data processing is carried out on the basis of our legitimate interest in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f DSGVO / GDPR.
These cookies are necessary in order for us to display the web shop and provide you with essential basic functions, such as the login area, the shopping basket or the payment function. Most cookies are session cookies, which are deleted when the browser is closed. The cookie for the shopping cart content is valid for 48 hours – after that the shopping cart is empty again. In addition, the payment service provider sets a cookie that is valid for two years.
If the cookies are used to log into the customer account and/or to save the shopping basket — also for a later visit to our web shop — the legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b DSGVO / GDPR.
If you contact us by e-mail as a customer or interested party, you will usually provide us with the following personal data:
– e-mail address
– First and last name
– Telephone number (if applicable)
– Your request
– any documents attached
We process this data in order to answer your enquiry.
We use these data exclusively to process your request. This data processing is regularly based on Art. 6 Para. 1 letter b DSGVO / GDPR.
For the order and the customer account in the shop you deposit your name, the postal address, an e-mail address and a password. We collect this data to fulfil the free user contract and to process your order. The legal basis is therefore Art. 6 Para. lit. b DSGVO / GDPR.
The app requires first and last name, e-mail and password when registering. This is done in order to be able to monitor and allocate the permitted number of licenses per purchase, i.e. for contract fulfilment. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b. DSGVO / GDPR.

These service providers are contractually obliged to comply with the data protection laws. In particular, they are not allowed to use the data for their own purposes or even to pass it on to third parties. We check each service provider beforehand for the measures they have taken for data protection and data security. In this way we ensure the protection of personal data. The shop is hosted by visual4 GmbH, Germany.
We have commissioned the payment service provider Stripe Payments Europe Ltd, 1 Grand Canal Street Lower, Grand Canal Dock, Dublin, Ireland, to process the payment. We will pass on to this company the information provided by you during the ordering process together with the information about your order (name, address, account number, bank code, credit card number, invoice amount, currency and transaction number) in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b DSGVO / GDPR. You can view the duration of storage in the cookie section of your browser settings. You can also delete the cookies yourself at any time using the settings of your browser.
If you contact us via the contact form or e-mail, we will check at the end of each year whether further storage is necessary or whether there is a duty to retain the e-mails (we also receive enquiries via the contact form as e-mails). Depending on this, further storage or deletion will then take place.
You can have your customer account deleted at any time by sending an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org and requesting that the account be deleted. Please note that information on past purchases may have to be kept longer for reasons of commercial law, see section 6.4.
After complete processing of the contract or deletion of your customer account, your personal data will be blocked with regard to tax and commercial law retention periods and deleted after 10 years. The period begins at the end of the year in which one or the last purchase was made and the invoice was issued.
