Information on data processing

We at ChemServe GmbH have taken technical and organisational measures to ensure that the regulations on data protection are observed both by us and by external service providers. In the following we inform you about the data processing within the scope of the purchase and use of Dr. Verwey’s Tank Cleaning Guide.

1. Name and address of the person responsible

ChemServe GmbH
Hubertuskamp 8
21521 Dassendorf
Phone +49 711 219 59 48 0

2. Subject of data protection

The subject of data protection is personal data. According to Art. 4 No. 1 DSGVO / GDPR, this is all information relating to an identified or identifiable person. This includes, for example, information such as name, e-mail address or telephone number, but also usage data such as the IP address.

3. Scope and purpose of data processing and storage

In the following, we clarify the scope of data collection, storage and use (hereinafter referred to as “data processing”, used within the meaning of Art. 4 No. 2 DSGVO / GDPR) and the purpose of the respective data processing within the framework of our web shop.

4. Data processing within the framework of the webshop

In principle, it is possible to view the web shop without providing personal data. An exception to this is the IP address, which we require at short notice (see also the following section).

4.1 IP addresses

Web servers and terminal devices actually need the IP address as an address. Only in this way does the web server know to which device it can transmit the page you have called up. Consequently, the web server must process your IP address at the moment of the data request.

The legal basis for this data processing is regularly Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b DSGVO / GDPR, as we need your IP address in order to be able to send you the website and the information it contains.

The IP address is saved for 24 hours. This gives us the opportunity to analyse attacks on the shop or the server and take appropriate measures. In this case, data processing is carried out on the basis of our legitimate interest in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f DSGVO / GDPR.

4.2 Cookies

Our webshop uses cookies. Cookies are text files that are stored in the Internet browser or by the Internet browser on the user’s terminal device. If a user calls up a website, a cookie can be stored on the user’s operating system.

These cookies are necessary in order for us to display the web shop and provide you with essential basic functions, such as the login area, the shopping basket or the payment function. Most cookies are session cookies, which are deleted when the browser is closed. The cookie for the shopping cart content is valid for 48 hours – after that the shopping cart is empty again. In addition, the payment service provider sets a cookie that is valid for two years.

If the cookies are used to log into the customer account and/or to save the shopping basket — also for a later visit to our web shop — the legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b DSGVO / GDPR.

4.3 Data processing for enquiries by e-mail

If you contact us by e-mail as a customer or interested party, you will usually provide us with the following personal data:

– e-mail address

– First and last name

– Telephone number (if applicable)

– Your request

– any documents attached

We process this data in order to answer your enquiry.

We use these data exclusively to process your request. This data processing is regularly based on Art. 6 Para. 1 letter b DSGVO / GDPR.

4.4 Data processing when creating a customer account and placing an order

For the order and the customer account in the shop you deposit your name, the postal address, an e-mail address and a password. We collect this data to fulfil the free user contract and to process your order. The legal basis is therefore Art. 6 Para. lit. b DSGVO / GDPR.

4.5 Data processing during registration of the app

The app requires first and last name, e-mail and password when registering. This is done in order to be able to monitor and allocate the permitted number of licenses per purchase, i.e. for contract fulfilment. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b. DSGVO / GDPR.

4.6 Google Analytics

On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website and to compile reports on website activity. The reports provided by Google Analytics serve to analyse the performance of our website and the success of our marketing campaigns.
